Tyler Newton Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is South Lyon's Tyler Newton, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Newton rushed for 325 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.5 yards per carry.
The win keeps South Lyon at an undefeated 4-0. Looking ahead, Newton and the Lions will face off against Walled Lake Western at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Donovan Triplett Goes Supernova in Walled Lake Western Victory
Donovan Triplett's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his fourth-straight game with 127+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 127 yards and three scores on only eight carries.
Walled Lake Northern's probably Not too fond of Triplett given he always seems to get the better of them. When Triplett last faced the Knights back in September of 2024, he rushed for 280 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also picked up 47 receiving yards and one TD.

Jordan White Delivers Electric Performance Vs Notre Dame Prep
Mott had to settle for second on Friday, but Jordan White sure wasn't going down easily. Notre Dame Prep had no answer to White as he picked up 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Having lost for the first time this season, Mott fell to 3-1. Coming up, White and the Corsairs will venture away from home to face off against Walled Lake Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

While Gavin Robinette delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Kettering. Robinette put up some solid numbers in the loss, throwing for 164 yards and one touchdown.
Kettering is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. Looking ahead, Robinette and the Captains will take on Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
