It's playoff time, and Calera had no trouble coming through when it counted. They skirted past the Gulf Shores Dolphins 8-6. The Eagles are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight.

Calera pushed their record up to 21-15 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.5 runs across that stretch. As for Gulf Shores, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-14-1.

Calera will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Dolphins: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
