Basketball Recap: Peachtree Ridge's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Peachtree Ridge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 61-50 victory over the Kell Longhorns. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Lions' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Longhorns are ranked 204th).

Several Longhorns players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nganga Kinyanjui, who posted 17 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jordan Montgomery, who earned ten points.

Peachtree Ridge's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Kell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peachtree Ridge will be home for the holidays to greet Brookwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Broncos have now posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Kell, they will welcome Cherokee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
