Marist extended their postseason success on Monday against Normal Community. They came out on top against the Ironmen by a score of 2-0. The RedHawks are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight.

Despite the defeat, Normal Community saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Evie Mounce had 14 assists and six digs. Mounce has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 15 times she's played. Ella Michalak also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Marist's win bumped their record up to 34-5. As for Normal Community, they moved to 34-6 with that loss, which also ended their nine-match winning streak.

Coming up, Marist will face off against Fremd at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Normal Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
