Softball Recap: Sioux Valley Gets the Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sioux Valley). They put the hurt on the Parker Pheasants with a sharp 20-2 win on Tuesday.

McKinley Schwab was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Amelia Jacobson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Sioux Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matches.

Sioux Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Parker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Sioux Valley will face off against Chester at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parker, they will square off against Flandreau at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
