Baseball Recap: LaVergne Wolverines vs. Cane Ridge Ravens
There's no place like home for LaVergne, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against the Cane Ridge Ravens by a score of 8-4 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.
Caleb Lund made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That one hit allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lathan Hall, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Muhammad Israr also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
