Millbrook hadn't done well against Rolesville recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Millbrook narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Rolesville 13-11. 13 seems to be a good number for the Wildcats as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Millbrook let Nicole Drew and Brynn Herman run wild. Drew scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Herman scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-5. What's more, Drew posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Arianna Brisita was another key player, going 2-for-5 with five RBI and two doubles.

Millbrook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win made it two in a row for Millbrook and bumps their season record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Rolesville, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Millbrook and Rolesville could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Millbrook will face off against Wakefield at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 211 places (245 vs. 34). Meanwhile, Rolesville (ranked 272nd) will meet Rosewood (ranked 131st) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
