Marie Philip was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-42 heartbreaker at the hands of Rhode Island School for the Deaf. The Galloping Ghosts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rhode Island School for the Deaf apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Marie Philip lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Dazmen Robinson, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 boards. Another player making a difference was Alexander Forfa, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Marie Philip's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Rhode Island School for the Deaf, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
