Softball Recap: Wayne County Comes Up Short

Wayne County lost against Stringer back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wayne County War Eagles lost 10-3 to the Stringer Red Devils. The War Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wayne County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rachel Greene, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Wayne County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Stringer, they pushed their record up to 7-2-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Wayne County will welcome West Jones at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Stringer, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Northeast Jones at 6:30 p.m.
