Soccer Recap: Overhills Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Overhills was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Harnett Central two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jaguars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pine Forest Trojans on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Overhills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 225th, while Pine Forest are ranked 103rd).

Overhills' loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6-1. As for Pine Forest, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-0-2.

Coming up, Overhills will take on Western Harnett at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pine Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
