Basketball Recap: Eustis-Farnam Starts Season with Loss at Home

Eustis-Farnam unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Alma Cardinals and fell 58-22. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now lost four in a row.

Leading Alma to victory were Tierston Moore and Kamryn Scott. Moore went 9 of 10 en route to 18 points in addition to seven assists and six steals, while Scott went 9 for 14 on her way to 20 points and eight steals. The dominant performance gave Moore a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Chayse Molzahn, who posted six points and four steals.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Alma, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Eustis-Farnam will host Overton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alma has already played their next contest (against Hitchcock County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
