Football Game Preview: Caddo Bruins vs. Laverne Tigers + Official Tickets

The Caddo Bruins will head out on the road to challenge the Laverne Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Caddo knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Laverne likes a good challenge.

Caddo is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Depew 61-14. With the Bruins ahead 61-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Cale Wigington and Bayler Black were among the main playmakers for Caddo as the former rushed for 128 yards and four TDs on only eight carries and the latter rushed for 145 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. That's the most rushing yards Black has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Carvell, who rushed for 60 yards and one score on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Caddo was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 351 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 188 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Caddo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Carvell and Jake McKay.

Meanwhile, Laverne waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Bronchos get on the board and left with a 50-0 win. The game marked the Tigers' most dominant victory of the season.

Caddo's record now sits at 10-1. As for Laverne, their record is now 8-2.

Caddo took a serious blow against Laverne in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 53-6. Can the Bruins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
