Softball Recap: Desales' Undefeated Season over After Six Games

After flying high against Goldendale on Friday, DeSales came back down to earth. DeSales fell just short of Tournament Opponent by a score of 6-5 on Friday. The game marked the Irish's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Theresa Holtzinger was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Holtzinger is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Linley Donnelly, who scored three runs while going 1-for-4.

Even though they lost, DeSales hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, DeSales fell to 4-1-1.
