Baseball Recap: Burkburnett Takes a Loss

Burkburnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 9-4 to the Eagle Mountain Knights.

Mason Williams was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Cooper Riley also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Burkburnett's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Eagle Mountain, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-7.

While Burkburnett had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
