Basketball Recap: Newmarket Wins Going Away Against Franklin

While Newmarket didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Franklin Tornadoes on Tuesday as the Newmarket Mules made off with a 58-36 win. The Mules have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 22 points or more this season.

Newmarket's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Franklin, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

The future could be bright for both Newmarket and Franklin: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Newmarket will try to hand Sunapee their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Franklin will look to extend Pittsfield's five-game losing streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
