Baseball Recap: Eastern Lebanon County Raiders vs. Garden Spot Spartans

Eastern Lebanon County fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Garden Spot on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Garden Spot Spartans by a score of 7-6. Eastern Lebanon County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Garden Spot apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April.

Gavin Bicher was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with a home run, five RBI, and a double. Another player making a difference was Braden Gettle, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

On Garden Spot's side, Ryan Speers tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits.
