Basketball Game Preview: Hancock County Indians vs. Cosby Eagles

The Hancock County Indians will square off against the Cosby Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Hancock County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 68-64 to Cumberland Gap. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (57), the Indians still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Cosby earned a 60-47 victory over Eastside on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Cosby has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Hancock County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.
