Basketball Recap: Norcom Comes Up Short

After flying high against Norview last Friday, Norcom came back down to earth. The Norcom Greyhounds were beaten by the Manor Mustangs 71-37 on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Mustangs are ranked 17th).

Norcom's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Manor, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-1.

Looking ahead, Norcom will face off against Granby at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Manor, they are taking a road trip to challenge Maury at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Manor's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Maury's offense will have their work cut out for them.
