Softball Game Preview: Dayton Christian WARRIORS vs. Stivers School for the Arts Tigers

The Dayton Christian WARRIORS will head out on the road to challenge the Stivers School for the Arts Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dayton Christian had taken Legacy Christian Academy down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The WARRIORS came up short against the Knights, falling 24-14.

Kallie Burr made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kate Temple, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs.

Meanwhile, Stivers School for the Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-3 to Middletown Christian.

Dayton Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Stivers School for the Arts, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything went Dayton Christian's way against Stivers School for the Arts in their previous matchup back in April, as Dayton Christian made off with a 33-19 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the WARRIORS since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
