Softball Recap: Horseheads Falls Short of Orchard Park in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Horseheads can now relate to. They fell just short of the Orchard Park Quakers by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Blue Raiders have suffered since April 15th.

With the defeat, Horseheads broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-5. As for Orchard Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.
