Soccer Game Preview: Union Grove vs. Waterford

The Union Grove Broncos will take on the Waterford Wolverines on Saturday.

Union Grove is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Kenosha Bradford just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Thursday. Neither they nor the Red Devils could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The result kept Union Grove happy, as they haven't lost a game since September 27th.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Waterford rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Hustlin' Hawks a 3-0 shutout. The match was close at halftime, but Waterford turned on the heat in the second half with two goals.

They hit Greenfield with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Colin Lepisto, Caden Gustafson, and Alex Levas.

The win got Waterford back to even at 9-9-2. Union Grove's draw makes their record 14-2-2 this season.

Union Grove took their victory against Waterford in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
