Softball Recap: Southridge Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Southridge came out on top against Beaverton on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Skyhawks took their matchup against the Beavers 8-4. This was a revenge game for the Skyhawks: when they faced off against the Beavers back in April, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Southridge's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Beaverton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southridge will square off against Sunset at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Apollos will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Skyhawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Beaverton, they will face off against McKay at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
