SOUTH GROUP 4

First-round games: 8-Absegami (Galloway) at 1-Cherokee (Marlton), Friday, 7 p.m.
5-Shawnee (Medford) at 4-Egg Harbor Township (Egg Harbor Township), Friday, 7 p.m.
6-Millville at 3-Atlantic City, Friday, 7 p.m.
7-Oakcrest (Mays Landing) at 2-Williamstown, Friday, 7 p.m.
Best first-round matchup: 6-Millville at 3-Atlantic City. Millville beat Atlantic City last Friday, 26-6, but AC owns wins over bracket-mates Absegami and Egg Harbor. Which version of the Vikings shows up here?
Dark horse: Despite having the most losses in the bracket, perhaps Millville's win over Atlantic City could spark a run to the title game.
Player to watch: Ben Martin, Absegami
Championship game: 1-Cherokee vs. 6-Millville
Winner: 1-Cherokee

SOUTH GROUP 3
First-round games: 8-Timber Creek Regional (Erial) at 1-Lacey Township (Lanoka Harbor), Saturday, 1 p.m.
5-Moorestown at 4-Winslow Township (Atco)., Saturday, 1 p.m.
6-Burlington Township at 3-Hammonton, Friday, 7 p.m.
7-Woodrow Wilson (Camden) at 2-Delsea (Franklinville), Friday, 7 p.m.
Best first-round matchup: 7-Woodrow Wilson at 2-Delsea. A 2009 first-round matchup and another regular-season rematch, we are curious if Woodrow Wilson could repeat its performance from when it beat two-time defending sectional champion Delsea on the road on Oct. 23, 41-21, in Franklinville.
Dark horses: Lacey is a big favorite in this bracket, but South Carolina-recruit Damiere Byrd will be the best player the Lions defend this season. Woodrow Wilson is capable of reaching the final.
Player to watch: Bill Belton, Winslow Township
Championship game: 1-Lacey vs. 6-Millville
Winner: 1-Cherokee

SOUTH GROUP 2
First-round games: 8-Point Pleasant Boro at 1-West Deptford (Westville), Friday, 7 p.m.
5-Barnegat at 4-Lower Cape May, Saturday, 1 p.m.
6-Manchester Township (Lakehurst) at 3-Haddonfield, Friday, 7 p.m.
7-Camden at 2-Willingboro, Friday, 7 p.m.
Best first-round matchup: 6-Manchester Township at 3-Haddonfield. Haddonfield has allowed just 45 points, including 14 over the past five weeks, but will be tested by an explosive Manchester ground game powered by Joe Johnson.
Dark horse: Granted Camden gave up more points than it scored, but a late field goal in last Saturday's 9-7 win over Group 1 juggernaut Glassboro got the Panthers to this point.
Player to watch: Johnson, Manchester Township
Championship game: 1-West Deptford vs. 2-Willingboro
Winner: 2-Willingboro
