Softball Recap: Woodruff Comes Up Short

After flying high against Laurens last Tuesday, Woodruff came back down to earth. The Woodruff Wolverines lost 14-4 to the Clover Blue Eagles on Friday. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2018.

Woodruff now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Clover, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-3.

Woodruff has already played their next game (against Woodmont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Clover, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-4 victory against Chesnee on the 15th.
