Soccer Recap: Maxwell Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Maxwell was feeling good fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Los Molinos last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Maxwell Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hamilton Braves on Thursday. The Panthers were red-hot offensively headed into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the four games prior) but the Braves' defense proved too tough.

Maxwell's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-1. As for Hamilton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Maxwell take on the Paradise at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hamilton, they will challenge Los Molinos at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
