Volleyball Recap: Vinton-Shellsburg Comes Up Short

Vinton-Shellsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Dunkerton Raiders. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2018.

Vinton-Shellsburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Dunkerton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Vinton-Shellsburg has already played their next matchup (against South Tama County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Dunkerton, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Oelwein on the 27th.
