Football Recap: Perry Central Comes Up Short

Perry Central and North Daviess squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Perry Central had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 54-6 loss at the hands of the Cougars. The loss leaves the Commodores still looking for their first win of the season.

North Daviess got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Skye Knepp out in front who rushed for 64 yards and one score. Knepp also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles and defending two passes. Another player making a difference was Cambell Wittmer, who gained 65 total yards and a touchdown.

Perry Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for North Daviess, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Perry Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Daviess, they will be playing at home against Tecumseh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
