Basketball Recap: Habib Khan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tokay over Mcnair

Tokay was the 65-60 winner over McNair when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Tokay Tigers fell to the McNair Eagles 71-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (63), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Tokay's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Habib Khan, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Shoneff, who put up 14 points.

Tokay has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for McNair, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Tokay won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Miramonte at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tokay has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for McNair, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Lathrop at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
