Soccer Game Preview: Byron Nelson vs. Trinity

The Byron Nelson Bobcat will square off against the Trinity Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Tuesday, Byron Nelson came up short against Southlake Carroll and fell 3-1. The loss was Byron Nelson's first of the season.

Despite a strong season so far, Trinity has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Southlake Carroll. While losing is never fun, Trinity can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Southlake Carroll are ranked 21st).

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 7-3-1. As for Byron Nelson, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Byron Nelson beat Trinity 2-0 when the teams last played back in February of 2025. Do the Bobcat have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
