Basketball Recap: Austin Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bucktail, Austin was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against the Oswayo Valley Green Wave by the margin of a single free throw, 45-44. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Austin's win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1. As for Oswayo Valley, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Austin will face off against Cameron County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oswayo Valley will take on Smethport in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Monday at.
