Basketball Game Preview: Reedy Lions vs. Newman Smith Trojans

The Reedy Lions will take on the Newman Smith Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Reedy came up short against Lone Star and fell 59-51. The Lions have struggled against the Rangers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Newman Smith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-53 heartbreaker at the hands of The Colony.

Newman Smith's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Reedy, their loss dropped their record down to 19-13.

Reedy took their win against Newman Smith in their previous matchup on January 3rd by a conclusive 45-22. Does Reedy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Newman Smith turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
