Baseball Recap: King/Drew Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

King/Drew never let their opponents score on Monday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Bravo Knights. The Golden Eagles were shut out 6-0 the last time they took on the Knights, so the Golden Eagles were just returning the favor.

Danilo Meade made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He also put up a triple, which was his first of the season.

Meade wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Robert Salazar, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Salazar is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

King/Drew has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Bravo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

King/Drew has already played their next game (against Jordan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bravo, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Marquez on the 16th.
