Football Recap: Ragland Starts Season with Victory Against Donoho

Ragland took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They strolled past the Donoho Falcons with points to spare, taking the game 38-19. For the Purple Devils, this counts as revenge for the 38-19 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

A'Ron Lee had a dynamite game, rushing for 134 yards and three scores on only 14 carries, while also catching one TD. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hunter Nolin, who threw for 205 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Donoho's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ragland will head out to take on Spring Garden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Purple Devils their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Donoho, they are taking a road trip to face off against Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
