Baseball Recap: Union Mine Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Union Mine got themselves on the board against Burbank on Wednesday, but Burbank never followed suit. They came out on top against the Titans by a score of 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Diamondbacks also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2017.

Will Baumunk made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Baumunk wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ian Enders, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Union Mine has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Burbank, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.

Union Mine didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-0 win against Galt on the 22nd. As for Burbank, they have also already played their next contest, a 22-4 victory against Valley on the 22nd.
