Softball Preview: Dyer County Choctaws vs. Dyersburg Trojans
For the first time this season, Dyer County will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to take on the Dyersburg Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dyersburg took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Dyer County, who comes in off a win.
Dyer County took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Tipton-Rosemark Academy 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Choctaws, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Rylee Key made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
