Volleyball Recap: Wabash Apaches vs. Lewis Cass Kings
Wabash won the last time they faced Lewis Cass and things went their way on Thursday too. The Apaches put the hurt on the Kings with a sharp 3-0 victory.
While Wabash won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-15, 25-18.
Bryleigh Boggs paced Wabash's offense, picking up 17 kills. Boggs got some help from Mya Whitaker and her 16 assists. Whitaker also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Zoe Vail, each putting up three.
Lewis Cass' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lauren Tocco, who had 13 digs and three aces, and Ava Hubner, who had 17 digs and five kills. Tocco has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.
