Softball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del Takes a Loss

Jac-Cen-Del was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-0 to the Madison Cubs. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 14-0 to the Cubs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jac-Cen-Del's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Madison, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5.

Coming up, Jac-Cen-Del is taking a road trip to face off against Southwestern at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.7 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Madison, they will face off against Brownstown Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cubs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
