Baseball Recap: Pershing County Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Pershing County's offense. They came up short against the Sierra Lutheran Falcons on Saturday, falling 10-0. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

Pershing County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Montes, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Pershing County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season. As for Sierra Lutheran, they pushed their record up to 11-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pershing County beat the Falcons by a score of 4-2 later that day.
