Baseball Recap: Nonnewaug Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Nonnewaug can now relate to. They fell just short of the Stonington Bears by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday.

Nonnewaug saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler DiElsi, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Nonnewaug's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Stonington, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-6.

Nonnewaug does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stonington, they will face off against Joel Barlow at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
