Davie extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Makenzie Gentry. The Davie War Eagles blew past the Parkland Mustangs 71-43 on Friday thanks in part to Gentry, who went 7 for 9 on her way to 18 points and three steals. Those 18 points gave her a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Vivian Vaughters, who went 5 of 7 to rack up 11 points. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 47.2% field goal percentage.

Parkland's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Asia Blackwell, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 boards, and Jordan Fisher, who went 8 for 12 en route to 22 points and five steals. Parkland is 12-5 when Blackwell posts eight or more rebounds, but 2-3 otherwise. Sou'l Mitchell was another key player, putting up four points.

Davie's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Parkland, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8.

Looking ahead, Davie will head out to face off against Glenn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Glenn: they have been struggling with nine straight losses at home, while Davie has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road. As for Parkland, they will host Mount Tabor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Parkland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season.
