It was a good run, but Edcouch-Elsa unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Veterans Memorial Chargers. The Yellowjackets were not able to make up for their loss to the Chargers from their previous meeting back in October of 2023.

Madison Solis paced Edcouch-Elsa's offense, picking up seven kills. Solis got some help from Addison Gonzalez and her 11 assists.

Edcouch-Elsa's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Veterans Memorial, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Edcouch-Elsa will challenge La Feria at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Veterans Memorial, they will take on Port Isabel at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
