Basketball Recap: Whitney Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Whitney waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the West Trojans, sneaking past 45-43. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Trojans back in December of 2024, they had to take a 63-58 defeat.

West lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ayden Poteet, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cason Carroll, who posted five points.

Whitney's record now sits at 9-14. As for West, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9.

Whitney has already played their next game (against McGregor), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. West didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-54 win against Clifton on the 21st.
