Capital has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Borah Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Capital knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with flashy run totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Borah likes a good challenge.

McKenna Chavez and Lizzy Turpen did most of the damage at the plate: Chavez scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3, while Turpen scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lauren Davies, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Borah entered their tilt with Jerome with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They had just enough and edged the Tigers out 7-5. That's two games straight that Borah has won by exactly two runs.

The team relied heavily on Kayla Campbell, who went 2-for-2 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Capital pushed their record up to 4-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs per game. As for Borah, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Capital hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Borah struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
