Eli Ortega was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Ortega was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, Rayand Diaz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.
