Basketball Game Preview: Ripon Indians vs. Escalon Cougars

The Ripon Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Escalon Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ripon will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Ripon beat Sonora 35-30.

Meanwhile, Escalon waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Knights 45-12. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Ripon has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Escalon, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Ripon came up short against Escalon when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 35-29. Can Ripon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
