Volleyball Recap: Alexandria-Monroe Takes a Loss

Alexandria-Monroe lost against Adams Central back in October of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flying Jets. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Grace Wood paced Alexandria-Monroe's offense, picking up four kills. Wood got some help from Adah Hollingsworth and her 13 assists. Finally, Wood was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Adams Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luci Noblitt out in front who had 17 assists and three digs. Noblitt is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Alexandria-Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Adams Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-16.

Alexandria-Monroe has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Whiteland on the 11th. As for Adams Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Lawrenceburg on the 11th.
