Preview: Monroe Central Golden Bears vs. Daleville Broncos
Monroe Central is 7-2 against Daleville since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Monroe Central Golden Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Daleville Broncos at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for Monroe Central, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-46 loss to Northeastern. Monroe Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Daleville was beaten by Delta 76-35 on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Daleville in their matchups with Delta: they've now lost five in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Koleman Newsome, who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds.
Winchester Community's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Monroe Central's defeat dropped theirs to 0-1.
Monroe Central might still be hurting after the 50-29 defeat they got from Daleville in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Monroe Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
