Basketball Game Preview: Newcastle Bobcats vs. Perrin-Whitt Pirates

Newcastle has won three straight games at home, while Perrin-Whitt has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Newcastle Bobcats will welcome the Perrin-Whitt Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Newcastle knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Perrin-Whitt likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Newcastle humbled Throckmorton with a 61-29 victory. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, everything went Perrin-Whitt's way against Bryson on Tuesday as Perrin-Whitt made off with a 45-22 win.

Perrin-Whitt has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-13 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points per game. As for Newcastle, their victory bumped their record up to 17-8.
