Basketball Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Victorious

If Pahrump Valley wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Sports Leadership & Management, they should've done a better job of containing Alaijah Young. The Sports Leadership & Management Bulls came out on top against the Pahrump Valley Trojans by a score of 49-39 on Wednesday thanks in part to Young, who went 11 for 23 on his way to 27 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Pahrump Valley's loss came despite strong showings from Tramaine Burras and Alejandro Lozano. Burras dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds, while Lozano posted 12 points and three steals. Burras is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

Sports Leadership & Management now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Pahrump Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sports Leadership & Management will take on The Meadows School at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Meadows School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67 points per game this season. As for Pahrump Valley, they will challenge Moapa Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
