Softball Game Preview: Manchester Red Hawks vs. Simsbury Trojans

For the second straight game, Manchester will face off against Simsbury. The Red Hawks will challenge the Trojans at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Manchester has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 28.

On Saturday, Manchester came up short against Simsbury and fell 5-2.

Riley Shove ?27 made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Simsbury's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Manchester, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
